Having lost seven seniors from a Class AAA sectional team a year ago, Soddy-Daisy coach Moises Drumond will take a win any way he can get it early in the 2010 girls’ soccer season.

Thursday night, he got one by penalty.

Hannah Wyatt scored two goals and Katie Hillis had the decisive score on a penalty kick as the Lady Trojans defeated Chattanooga Christian 3-2 in both teams’ first game of the Siegel Soccer Tournament.

Hillis’ goal came in the 65th minute, after it was ruled that CCS keeper Taylor Thurman fouled Summer Lanter within the box. Hillis, who handled the team’s penalty kicks last season, knocked the ball in for the 3-2 advantage.

"I really felt like CCS deserved to win that match," Drumond said. "They came out with more intensity and won a lot more of the 50-50 balls.

"I will give credit to my girls, though. They kept working. The second half was better, and I thought it was more even."

The match was played at CCS, although the rest of the tournament will be held at the Richard Siegel complex in Murfreesboro. CCS will face Siegel today and Centennial on Saturday, while Soddy-Daisy will play Shelbyville today and Siegel on Saturday.

Soddy-Daisy was able to create opportunities with the elusive up-front duo of Wyatt and Lanter, who continually put pressure on the CCS defense when given chances up front.

"A team like that is very dangerous," CCS coach Cal Sneller noted. "Up front they have a lot of speed."

For all of the Lady Chargers’ intensity, it was the Lady Trojans (3-0) who got on the board first. Wyatt dribbled through the defense and created an easy opportunity, discount tiffany jewelry, which she put away for a one-goal advantage 19 minutes in. After a few opportunities, CCS was able to equal the match in the 32nd minute when Tiffany Sullivan chipped a ball over the head of keeper Haley Myers.

After Wyatt’s second goal two minutes later, CCS tied the game when Ashley Simmons scored off a deflection. The match was a far cry from a preseason scrimmage, won 1-0 by Soddy-Daisy.

"There weren’t many opportunities during that match, shop for tiffany bangles, so I didn’t expect the high score at the half," Drumond said, "especially with three goals so close together."

Defense and close chances ruled the second half, but the Lady Chargers created numerous opportunities that they just weren’t able to finish. Midway through the half, tiffany earrings sale, Anna Hoffman found Sullivan on a cross, but Sullivan couldn’t get off a good touch and the ball was cleaned up by Myers.

"I thought we played well against a good team," Sneller said. "As we step forward, we were learn. We have to cut back on our mistakes, tiffany Pendants on sale, but I love how the girls worked hard. They are receptive to instruction as to how to play better and play tighter."

OK,tiffany money clips on sale, you really don’t have to love Lady Gaga.

It’s optional, like everything else in pop culture. In fact, there’s probably a 50-50 split, at best, on those who love her and those who rue the day she ever appeared on the cultural landscape.

But, to her credit, unlike so many bland pop stars of this generation, she provokes an intense reaction — good or bad — more with her outlandish wardrobe and over-the-top theatrics than her rather conventional dance-pop music.

She paid some dues to get to that point. A nice Italian girl from New York City, Stefani Angelina Germanotta started playing piano at age 4 and braved the open mikes as young as 14. Within a few years, she went from high school thespian to NYU music student to New York cabaret club performer.

Signed and dropped by Def Jam at 19, she got her break as a songwriter for Interscope, where her vocal talents couldn’t be contained. In late 2008, she released "The Fame, tiffany rings on sale," which debuted at No. 17 on the charts and climbed, on the strength of singles "Just Dance," "Poker Face," LoveGame" and "Paparazzi," to peak at No. 2 after 62 weeks.

With exposure to her shocking award-show appearances, magazine covers and viral videos, the Lady Gaga audience was primed for the eight-song second release, "The Fame Monster," fueled by "Bad Romance," which went to No. 2 in the States and topped the charts in 18 countries.

More than just a video phenom, she’s been able to back up the hype as a live performer, starting with opening slots on Pussycat Dolls and New Kids on the Block tours, and moving on to her first headlining tour in March 2009. That one didn’t stop in Pittsburgh, but we get our first live look at her when she plays the Consol Energy Center Sunday as part of the Monster Ball Tour.

In honor of that — and because she doesn’t do many interviews — we offer 10 Reasons to Love Lady Gaga:

1. Bad Romance

"Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah! Roma-ro-mamaaa! Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!" Ahhhhhh! Make it stop! No, give me more! Her chart-topping hit from "The Fame Monster" is the catchiest, sexiest, most grotesque, most grating and most irresistible song of the past who-knows-when. It burrows into your brain like a larvae and won’t leave. It’s Madonna meets Marilyn Manson on the Eurodisco floor. Just as infectious is the stylized sci-fi video that is one of the most-viewed YouTube clips of all time for good reason. One second she looks absolutely gorgeous crying into the camera, the next she’s doing that horrific robotic twist or gazing at us with pupils the size of quarters. We hate this song. We love this song!

2. The bloody VMAs

Something must have been happening in the stars on Sept. 12, 2009,thanksgiving day celebration, because it was a crazy career-changing night in the music industry at the MTV Video Music Awards. Kanye West pulled his mike-stealing stunt on Taylor Swift, altering both careers. And Lady Gaga filled a scrapbook with images we’ll never forget, starting with her funereal look on the red carpet, continuing with the red-laced dress that creepily covered her face and climaxing with her hideous, blood-soaked performance of "Paparazzi." If we didn’t know it before, we knew then that Lady Gaga was as much Warholian performance artist as pop artist.

3. She can sing … play … and write

This one is a bit of a no-brainer. Even her biggest detractors, and they are many and loud, will state the various reasons they dislike her — "style over substance" being the No. 1 — but then come around to admit, "Yeah, but she can sing." Yes, she can. She’s not Christina Aguilera, but she’s in the ballpark. Lady Gaga doesn’t need to lip-synch, doesn’t need autotune, and has demonstrated that she can sit at the piano by herself and sing and play like the New York cabaret star she could have been. Furthermore, thanksgiving money clips, regardless of what you think of her songs, she has at least a hand in writing them all.

4. She took her name from Queen

Imagine her trying to crack the mainstream fronting the Stefani Germanotta Band, as she did for a while around 2005. Not real sexy. The widely told story is that producer Rob Fusari, after comparing her vocal style to Queen’s Freddie Mercury, made "Radio Gaga" her entrance song when she came into the studio. He’s been quoted as saying "[Lady Gaga] was actually a glitch; I typed ‘Radio Ga Ga’ in a text and it did an autocorrect so somehow ‘Radio’ got changed to ‘Lady.’ She texted me back, ‘That’s it.’ After that day, she was Lady Gaga. She’s like, ‘Don’t ever call me Stefani again.’ " She’s also said that she "adored Freddie Mercury."

5. Rain on ‘Today Show’

What would Madonna, Britney or Bon Jovi have done if it had started pouring down rain in the midst of their live TV show gig, their makeup starting running and their hair went to hell? They may have run for Al Roker’s umbrella. Not Lady Gaga. She not only hung in there on that soaking, humid July 9 day in front of nearly 20,000 fans and millions at home, but also she rolled around on the wet stage in her white outfit, proving she can veer from the game plan and deal with whatever is thrown her way.

6. Stage dive at Lollapalooza

Remember when Joan Jett sang "Do you want to touch me there — where?" She didn’t really mean it. At a side stage at Lollapalooza on Aug. 7, Lady Gaga appeared in the wings during a set by her friends’ band, Semi Precious Weapons, then walked out and executed a perfect backward stage dive, practically naked, in sheer lingerie. She let the crowd grope her for a minute or so, and then peaced. One of the gutsier maneuvers we’ve seen from a pop star, especially a female one.

7. ‘Little Monster’ Tweets

"Haven’t left the studio. Each song I write, I feel closer to you. Miss you little monsters, little inspirations. X" … "Just emerged from studio bender to hear we won two teen choice awards. Thank you for believing in me little monsters! I’m your hooker. X" Lady Gaga isn’t as chatty as John Mayer, Taylor Swift or OchoCinco on Twitter, but she has the most Twitter followers in the world with 5.7 million. Part of the reason is the overall fascination with Gaga. Another is that she uses the format not just to promote herself but to send the love out to her fans, her "little monsters." During a religious protest of one of her concerts in St. Louis, she tweeted, "Their message is of hatred and divisiveness, but inside at the Monsterball we preach love and unity."

8. She’s an open book

Stefani Germanotta and her handlers did a remarkable job of creating the Lady Gaga character. But she’s shown herself to be a real person underneath. In the recent Rolling Stone, she spills her guts about her fears, hang-ups and obsessions in as honest an interview as you’ll ever read. Along with expressing concerns about her father’s heart surgery, she talked about her fears of being susceptible to lupus — not exactly sexy subject matter for a pop diva.

9. Reaching out to the ‘out’ community

Lady Gaga borrows heavily from gay and drag fashion and music, and although the association may be taboo for a lot of pop stars and may turn off middle America, she embraces the community. She told MTV News, "The turning point for me was the gay community," she said. "I’ve got so many gay fans, and they’re so loyal to me and they really lifted me up. They’ll always stand by me, and I’ll always stand by them. It’s not an easy thing to create a fanbase. … Being invited to play [the San Francisco Pride rally], that was a real turning point for me as an artist."

10. Her work ethic

Away from the stage, she’s created a few bizarre public spectacles, most notably at Mets and Yankees games. But for the most part, Lady Gaga hasn’t been the drunken party animal that so many of her peers have become. During that "Today Show" appearance she told Matt Lauer that while on tour, she spends a lot of time in her hotel room writing. Explaining the song "Telephone, tiffany money clips clearance," originally written for Britney Spears, she told MTV News, "I don’t go to nightclubs. You don’t see pictures of me falling out of a club drunk. I don’t go — and that’s because I usually go and then, you know, a whiskey and a half into it, I got to get back to work. Because I love my work so much, I find it really hard to go out and have a good time." The proof might be in her production. She’s already completed a third album — something for the little monsters to look forward to next year.

Forgive St. Michael’s junior middle hitter Alexa Chavez if she didn’t know who Ashley Sorensen was. But Capital High’s 6-foot middle blocker was just another in a line of big bodies Chavez and the Lady Horsemen volleyball team have seen already.

So when St. Michael’s head coach Chela Butler told Chavez to work the ball around Sorensen during a timeout in the fifth game of the nondistrict match Wednesday, Chavez responded with, "Who?"

Sorensen didn’t make a peep as the Lady Horsemen scored three of the final four points to secure a 25-21, 18-25,Bead bracelet, 19-25,watches, 25-21,discount tiffany cuff Links, 15-9 win in Capital’s Edward A. Ortiz Memorial Gymnasium.

Chavez’s curious reply might be ingrained in a nondistrict schedule that already tested St. Michael’s, and all the thanks can go to the Clovis Invitational, where it went 2-1. After spending last weekend facing the best from West Texas, Arizona and a few of the top teams in New Mexico, the Lady Horsemen (3-1) didn’t fizzle against the Lady Jaguars’ front line.

"We saw Division-I players in Clovis, tiffany cuff Links for sale," Butler said. "Denver City from Texas has a player that’s being recruited by the University of Nebraska. We’ve got Albuquerque Academy there, and they’ve got three

6-footers. Texico’s a tiny little team, and they play big.

"Even though you don’t play against all of them, you see them and you’re watching them play. And I keep telling my girls, ‘You can do that.’ "

The advantage of playing those teams revealed itself after Capital took a 20-16 lead in Game 4.

The Lady Jaguars (1-1) were a confident bunch — unlike the listless group that couldn’t keep up against Pojoaque Valley last week — and were about to close out the match with a roar.

Even in the face of imminent demise, St. Michael’s battled back with a 9-1 rally to force a fifth game. Monique Romero said the Lady Horsemen found inspiration in Capital’s good fortune up to that point.

"While we were walking back (from a St. Michael’s timeout at 20-16), Capital was really excited,Atlas charm bracelet," junior outside hitter Monique Romero said. "So that got us mad, and we came out there and played tough."

Especially Chavez, a 6-1 junior who only turned 16 last month. She hammered three of her 11 kills over the final four points of the game.

Her swagger wasn’t just discovered in Clovis — she’s been a varsity player in volleyball (as well as basketball) since she was a freshman. She also played on the varsity for softball in the spring.

"It’s that sophomore year of being on three varsity teams creates a world of confidence," Butler said.

Her teammates, though, already have three tough matches under their belt, and their composure showed.

The Game 4 comeback inspired an 8-2 run in the final game as Capital wilted under the pressure.

Stephanie Oellien mishit three kill attempts during the run, and Janeth Santos and Rocio Archuleta sailed serves into the net.

"They let pressure start creeping in, and they got a little complacent, thinking, ‘It’s there. It’s in the bag,’ " Capital head coach Natalie Garcia said. "Then the errors just start to build, the unforced errors, and that’s exactly right. They need to learn to finish."

Capital learned to play with better intensity for most of the match.

Archuleta had 11 kills through the first four games, and Oellien added nine more. Still, the sign of what was the come was displayed in Game 2, as St. Michael’s cut a 20-8 deficit to 23-18 before the Lady Jaguars righted themselves.

"We were up ridiculously, but we let them creep back," Garcia said. "Close enough that, if they got on fire, that could have changed the game. They need to learn to take it and run with it."

The Lady Jaguars needed only to look across the net to understand what Garcia was talking about.

A celebration of Bridgeport’s finer things is planned for Sept. 10 when Seaside Park’s recreated Lady Liberty statue is unveiled at a benefit for the nonprofit City Lights Gallery amid a setting of rare vintage automobiles.

Dragone Classic Motorcars, 1797 Main St., Bridgeport, will be the setting for Friday’s event, thanksgiving gift ideas, sponsored by Pullman & Comley, one of Connecticut’s largest law firms.

The benefit reception, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m., will feature the debut of the just completed Lady Liberty statue by Vermont artist Emily

Bedard. Tickets are $40 per person.

"This is truly a celebration of Bridgeport’s finer things: a celebration of fine art, fine food,Charm bracelet, fine automobiles and fine architecture," says Suzanne Kachmar, City Lights gallery director.

The statue will soon be placed atop Seaside Park’s Civil War Soldiers and Sailors Monument, originally dedicated in 1876, replacing the original marble Liberty that was destroyed by vandals in 1969. Creation of the new statue was funded through $7,500 in donations raised by Friends of Seaside Park, a decades-old organization that has undertaken numerous beautification projects through the years at the park, which borders Long Island Sound.

Rededication ceremonies, which will be open to the public free of charge, are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. Featured speakers will include Mayor Bill Finch, City Historian Mary Witkowski, City Lights Chairman of the Board Nathaniel Plotkin and Thomas Errichetti, treasurer of Friends of Seaside Park and catalyst for the restoration project.

Errichetti said that the statue project would be the final undertaking of Friends of Seaside Park, which will soon be disbanded, since many of its most ardent members have either moved away or died.

With the statue finally replaced, "our mission is accomplished" as an organization, he said. By restoring the monument to its former glory, "we are paying homage to the memories of those who died in the Civil War, to our heroes." And a restored monument also will add luster to Seaside Park, "which, I believe, to be one of the city’s real jewels."

When Errichetti began his artist search, he turned to Kachmar for recommendations. Kachmar, in turn, suggested that Errichetti speak with her friend, Lyme Academy instructor James Reed, who recommended Bedard.

In a recent chat from her Milton, Vt., home-studio, artist Bedard, 23, said that she has been working on creating the new statue for about a year — ever since winning the commission last spring, a few weeks prior to graduating from the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme.

Bedard initially designed a statue in clay, from which a mold was made. Using that mold, a permanent statue has been created using a lightweight gypsum polymer reinforced with fiberglass — a common combination for architectural detail work, she said. "It’s a cheap but durable" process, that will mimic the original white marble quite well,Bead bracelet, she said.

At about 6 feet, 6 inches tall, the statue weighs in at about 170 pounds, Bedard noted.

"We wanted to keep it as authentic as possible, although I didn’t have much (reference material), except for a few old newspaper clippings and postcards," Bedard said, laughing, "so I suppose you could say this is my interpretation of the original, based on a lot of research of the period."

Bedard referred to this Lady as an "armed liberty," which is traditionally depicted wearing armor and carrying a sword. She also holds a laurel wreath as a symbol of victory.

"I have always had a love of traditional representational sculpture . . . and I took this commission with the intention of carrying on that tradition through hard work and craftsmanship.

"There were times when I felt that I was way over my head," said Bedard, laughing, of her first professional commission. "So many times I wanted to give up, but perseverance was the key." Although she is pleased with the outcome, Bedard said she will not rest easy until the statue is secured to the monument at Seaside Park. (On Wednesday, Bedard will personally drive Lady Liberty from Vermont to Bridgeport in her own van; she’ll remain here through the rededication ceremonies.)

George Dragone, of Dragone Motorcars, said that the Main Street showrooms are well suited to host the unveiling party, noting that both his building and the Civil War Monument are products of the 19th century. He said that a portion of the restored building dates to 1854, at the time used as a blacksmith shop and general store, while other areas of the building were used as stables and date to the 1880s.

On display during the reception will be a selection of "museum-quality steam-, electric- and gasoline-" powered autos from the late-19th century and the turn-of-the-20th-century,shop for tiffany bracelets, Dragone said, including an 1898 Riker Electric vehicle and a 1905 Renault limousine once owned by New York socialite and arts benefactor Sarah Cooper-Hewitt.

Dragone, whose company specializes in the restoration of classic automobiles, tiffany bangles on sale, said "we have customers from all over the world — from China, Russia, South Africa — coming here to Bridgeport. As longtime supporters of City Lights, we thought it would be a nice opportunity for locals to come here and see what we do — and take a walk back in time while supporting the gallery."

To reserve tickets for the unveiling event, contact Suzanne Kachmar at City Lights Gallery at 203-334-7748, by e-mail at citygallerybpt@gmail.com or on the Web at www.citylightsgallery.org. Tickets also may be purchased at the gallery at 37 Markle Court in downtown Bridgeport. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. For a sampling of autos in the Dragone collection, visit www.dragoneclassic.com.

Jessica Tsosie can set.

And dig.

And pass.

And lead.

It is her combination plate of skills that is one reason the Lady Braves of Santa Fe Indian School are undefeated and ranked fourth in Class AAA.

In a matchup of ranked teams, the Lady Braves dismissed the Lady Cardinals of Las Vegas Robertson 25-15, 25-15, 25-23 Thursday night in Francis L. Abeyta Memorial Gymnasium.

Robertson, a familiar foe, shop for tiffany cuff Links, arrived ranked sixth.

"We knew we’d get some serious competition," Seatha Pacheco, SFIS head coach, said. "Nothing is going to be free. They’re going to fight all the way through."

It’s true.

Down a pair of games and knotted 17-17, the Lady Cardinals stitched together six unanswered points and fashioned a 23-17 advantage.

Two timeouts did nothing to change the momentum, not with Lakeshia Padilla on the sideline with cramps. With the libero replacing Padilla on the back row, Pacheco had no choice but to pull Padilla away from getting her leg wrapped and insert her back in the lineup, so she could make another substitution.

Padilla, a 6-foot senior, hammered three of her 11 team-high spikes to complete the sweep and raise the Lady Braves’ record to 3-0.

"When she plays like she did, she can be very intimidating," Pacheco said of Padilla, cheap tiffany rings, who had nine digs and served two aces.

And when Tsosie covers one side of the court and then the other in a 10-second spurt, she can be downright exhausting.

"She played an excellent defensive game," Pacheco said of Tsosie, who had six digs, two aces and 19 assists.

Melodie Cruz chipped in eight kills and three digs, while Danielle Nelson had three kills and four blocks.

There was only one blemish.

The teams no longer reside in the same district.

"Now we beat them," Pacheco laughed before turning serious. "Every match matters."

NMSD 3, ROY 1

The next best thing to being ranked is knocking off a ranked team, which is precisely when Lady Roadrunners accomplished in their 25-16, 25-9, 22-25, 25-18 win over the Lady Longhorns, ranked seventh in Class B, in Larson Gymnasium.

"It was our first big test of the year and we passed," Stacy Nowak, New Mexico School for the Deaf head coach, said through an interpreter. "We shocked them in the first two games for sure."

The Lady Roadrunners also found their stride after stumbling in the third game.

Caldonia Wilding finished with nine kills for the Lady Roadrunners (3-0). She also served six aces en route to 10 service points.

Regina Garcia had seven aces and 17 service points for NMSD. Setter Mia Fernandez recorded 13 assists to go with her seven points.

"Her desire, her heart and her setting selections," Nowak said of Fernandez and three reasons why the Lady Roadrunners triumphed. "She’s dead now because she’s so exhausted. She played so brilliantly."

Who didn’t?

"Our offense clicked, tiffany watche," Nowak said. "We got offense from four or five players."

And, the best is still to come.

"We have a long way to go," Nowak said. "They haven’t even reached half their potential."

ESPAnOLA VALLEY 3, AZTEC 1

Follow the freshman.

That was the game within the match for the Lady Sundevils, who defeated the Lady Tigers 20-25, 25-17,bracelets, 26-24, 25-20 behind the play of freshman Kayla Romero.

"She played with a lot of guts," Damon Salazar, tiffany rings clearance, Espanola Valley head coach, said of Romero, who finished with a team-high 18 kills.

Maddy Romero chipped in nine kills and three aces, Sabrina Duran had six aces and setter Karli Salazar had 30 assists and four aces.

The Lady Sundevils (2-2) rallied from a 23-15 deficit in the third game of the nondistrict match in Edward A. Medina Gymnasium.

"Our serving and passing were great tonight," coach Salazar said.

It’s all in the bag for budding media and fashion group MenInvest and its high-end accessories label for guys, Estime.

We really saw a niche for elegant men’s accessories, but priced more affordably than most luxury brands, cheap tiffany earrings, said Audrey Montacel, a Louis Vuitton alum, who co-founded Estime in 2009 with business partner and MenInvest founder Marc Menas.

Prices range from around 69 euros, or $87 at current exchange, for a laptop case to 579 euros, or $728, for a garment bag. MenInvest operates fashion, digital, e-commerce and media activities focused on men. The group in February received a capital increase from AXA Private Equity, which took a minority stake, necklaces, and has an Estime boutique at 61 Rue Bonaparte in the heart of Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, its multibrand shop, buy tiffany bracelets, Menlook, and its bespoke shirt and suit label, thanksgiving jewelry, Saint-Sens, are located just next door at number 59.

A second Estime location is slated to bow in Lyon, France, in September, while plans for international expansion are also under way. Billing its style as gentleman tech, the collection, which is entirely made in Spain from exclusive European textiles and leathers, ranges from exotic iPhone holders and leather envelope pouches to supple travel bags. A 48-hour duffel bag, tiffany rings on sale, for example, offers colored bands and vivid contrast or Liberty-print linings.

We studied every aspect of men’s accessories, from how many cards a wallet should ideally carry to the most ergonomic accessory forms, Montacel said.

Starting next month, Estime, which is already available online at estime.com, will be sold in London’s Fenwick department store.

Today, driving can make it difficult to swallow your road rage. I mean, who hasn’t yearned for a hood-mounted missile launcher that can part a dead-end traffic jam like the Red Sea? Sound satisfying? We’re about to find out.

Blur

Blur, from Activision, is the perfect beverage to quench road-rage thirst. The racing action combined with on-track explosives is more than satisfying. It’s the bomb, literally. The danger doesn’t just lurk around every corner, it pervades every aspect of the game. If you want to stay in the lead you’ll have to master the fine art of driving under duress.

From the start, the animations are hot. With cars flying off the track in fantastic explosions, the destruction is beautiful, almost peaceful. Pretty balls of fire set to blood-pumping music are just the thing to get you revved up and ready to go.

Blur’s racing action is not as realistic as, say, Gran Turismo or a few others, but it’s fast,Beads necklace, furious, and fun. Drifting around corners is easy to control in a "grippy" car, discount tiffany earrings, and the speeds are a notch above what you get in most other race games. The handling is fairly smooth, with far fewer crashes for a game this fast. I expected to be thrown off every corner, but was pleasantly surprised to finish second in my first race.

The real fun comes from the on-track combat, which is complete with an arsenal of weapons and attacks to send your opponents soaring skyward for a few bonus points. Little icons found around the track will arm the driver with missiles, shunt bombs, land mines, and more. Each has its own effects and end result. These power-ups are not hard to come by, and as soon as one driver picks one up, another takes its place. In short, you’re never really out of little "boomy" stuff for very long.

Though you may have a need to bend some fenders to assuage the rage, the real challenge comes with defensive driving. You’ll have to be on your guard the whole time, with eyes in the back of your head. A rear-view mirror will do nicely to help you watch your back and dodge a few incoming missiles. It takes a good mix of offense and defense to keep the track in your control. You can’t just go out and start blowing stuff up. You’ll be sure to get nowhere fast.

ModNation Racers

When thinking about ModNation Racers from Sony, think Little Big Planet meets Mario Kart. The focus is heavy on modification — hence the name — and practically all areas of the game can be altered or created. It’s kart style racing for sure but with massive ability to customize.

In fact, the first half-hour was spent building a driver and modifying his entire appearance. There is a wide variety of options to choose from while creating your perfect avatar. Mohawks, afros, helmets, goggles, it’s all there. Bull horns with a face guard and bunny ears? Yep. You could easily build 100 different drivers. Vehicles can be a hopped-up, supercharged auto of your own twisted design, or maybe you’d like to build your own track in a matter of mere minutes. If you want to change it,thanksgiving gift ideas, you can.

With all of the focus on modification, I feared the racing would be overlooked. That wasn’t the case at all. The on-track action is every bit as fun as Mario Kart, the industry gauge for kart racers. The controls and handling are similar, but the environments and tracks are superior in ModNation, as it utilizes the HD features of the PS3. Now throw in the customization and you’ve got a kart racer that’s hard to beat.

There are on-track attacks in ModNation as well. You can rain lightning bolts from the sky or drop a mine for an unsuspecting tailgater. They aren’t nearly as satisfying to watch, but the focus is on changeability not road-rage reduction. What they do offer, however, is sufficient for the job of taking out the opponent and clearing the way for your victory.

This game has immense longevity. With all of the modifications and the ability to share these creations over an Internet connection, discount tiffany key rings, one could really spend hours racing, building, customizing, and sharing, never being bored. For those who tire of race games easily, ModNation will keep you on the track for quite a bit longer than most racers, thanksgiving gifts, despite its kart racing simplicity.

In mid-March, Muffett filed an application for what is technically referred to in the City’s Adult Business Ordinance as an "Adult Dance Studio." The Planning Division’s review of Muffett’s application included analysis of relevant land use laws, rules, discount tiffany earrings, and regulations, tiffany sets, as well as consideration of input the City received from community members during a 20-day public comment period that began earlier this month.

The Planning Division’s review found that while Muffett’s application meets many of the required procedural criteria, discount tiffany bracelets, such as parking requirements, thanksgiving bracelets, proper zoning, and appropriate separation from churches, schools, day care centers, parks, and residential districts, "…there is no question that there will be significant secondary negative effects upon both property values and the businesses which surround this site."

Based on that finding, the Planning Division determined that, "…a finding cannot be made supporting the appropriateness and the compatibility of an adult business at this location and therefore it cannot be logically accommodated."

Now, over a century later, tiffany cuffLink, history is in danger of repeating itself. After weeks of closed-door meetings sanctioned by the Federal Communication Commission, two of the largest corporations in the communications industry have reportedly negotiated an agreement on network neutrality. Though details of the agreement are not available, its terms are immaterial. "The FCC today is a regulatory purgatory where endless process is being substituted for clear leadership, tiffany bangles for sale," stated Sascha Meinrath, Director of New America Foundation’s Open Technology Initiative. "It is remarkable that the Obama administration is abandoning its campaign promise to ensure an open Internet and is instead actively supporting a process where some of the largest companies in the country control the future of communications."

"Voluntary and non-binding agreements leave an open Internet to the whims of the largest Internet and communications companies, who have every incentive to create a market that prioritizes their own content and services, while limiting the potential of new start-ups, small businesses, and individual entrepreneurs," added Benjamin Lennett, Policy Analyst for the New America Foundation’s Open Technology Initiative. "We cannot afford to follow the same ‘leave it to the market’ philosophy that has left our economy in shambles and contributed to the worst oil spill in U.S. history."
